Join us for an afternoon of fun as we celebrate the changing of the seasons and dig into some hearty food while listening to the music of 5J Barrow.

Goods Drive - all day & anytime leading up to the event - Appalachian Community Relief is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting the recovery and resilience of communities in the Appalachian region, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters like Hurricane Helene. They also happen to be our neighbors we are going to be collecting food and non food items to be donated to them. Here is what they have told us they need the most: Food - canned vegetables, canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.), canned soup (except for chicken noodle- they have lots of that), Individual snacks (chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.), Non-perishable boxed meals (hamburger helper, mac n’ cheese, etc.). Non-food - Cleaning supplies (lysol wipes, cleaning sprays), Sponges, dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads, etc.)

Lets see if we can’t help stock their shelves a little bit!

Pumpkin chucking - all day - a great way to get rid of your old pumpkin for a great cause. See how far you can chuck a pumpkin into our hay bale enclosure. All the pumpkin remains will be donated to the wonderful pigs at Animal Haven of Asheville.

Chili Cook-off - 4:30-6:30pm - free to enter. Bring your best batch of chili and put it up against your friends and neighbors. An Oak & Grist gift card to the winner! This contest is open to all and will be judged by all the folks who sample your wonderful fare. Prizes for peoples choice 1st & 2nd place!

Live Music - 5-7pm - Enjoy a free sunset concert on the ULEAF stage. Local artist 5J Barrow will be our guests this evening. You can check out their sound here www.facebook.com/5jBarrow/

Yard Games - all day - bocce ball, corn hole, giant Jenga, hammocks! Sunshine is a precious commodity this time of year, what better way to enjoy it than with a group of friends playing games and sipping well crafted beverages?
