For the 2026 release of our 5 year single barrel, we went for a cask that represented something new for us. Distilled from the same NC pale malt as the previous batches, this year’s whiskey was aged for 5 years 175 days exclusively in an ex-red wine cask. The result… A complex profile with notes we had yet to see in our single malt. Rich in dark fruit notes, spice and a drier vinous finish.

NOSE: plum, wet tobacco, honeycomb, cherry cola, baking spice

PALATE: currant/cassis, cedar, Szechuan peppercorn, mexican chocolate, fig jam

FINISH: moderately dry and gripping, sweetness giving way to spiced
